Lee Upshaw's USS New Jersey

Here is a chance to follow along the building of a capital ship.  Lee has promised to supply me with updates from time to time as he brings his model from hull to completion.

First, we start off with an examination of the careful framing done under the deck:

Note the aluminum barbettes for the main battery, and the brass tubs at the stern for the 40mm cannons.

Now with the new deck in place and the process of fitting the superstructure properly underway.
